Throughout his stay, Lavrov is slated to confer with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev and meet with President Sadyr Japarov.
He is also scheduled to participate in a session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a regional alliance led by Moscow.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the dialogue will center on deepening cooperation between the two countries across political, economic, defense, cultural, and humanitarian domains.
“There will also be an exchange of views on key regional and international developments and prospects for advancing Eurasian integration,” said ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
